1xBet Adds Gowran Park to Irish Racing Sponsorship Portfolio

Global betting operator 1xBet has expanded its presence in Irish horse racing by signing a sponsorship agreement with Gowran Park, a historic racecourse in County Kilkenny. The deal, which began on 7 August, covers 15 National Hunt and flat races over the next 12 months, and also includes backing for the Owners’ Lounge and Stable Yard canteen.

The partnership arrives as Ireland’s gambling sector undergoes a major regulatory overhaul, with the newly established Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI) now overseeing the market. Ireland remains a top-30 global betting market, and horse racing is a core product; according to Horse Racing Ireland, over one million people attended 390 race meetings last year.

Ian Langstaff, 1xBet Ireland representative, said the company is “delighted to partner with Eddie and his team at Gowran Park as we continue to strengthen our presence within Irish racing.” He added that the racecourse has “a proud history and an outstanding reputation.”

Eddie Scally, General Manager of Gowran Park, noted that 1xBet’s support extends beyond race sponsorship to facilities used daily by owners, trainers, and stable staff. “It is particularly encouraging to see a company that has already shown its support through partnerships with Punchestown and The Curragh continuing to invest in the sport,” Scally said.

1xBet, which holds a Remote Bookmakers Licence in Ireland through its local entity Terminus Platform Ireland Limited, has also recently extended its partnership with the Dallas Open tennis tournament and signed a deal with UFC fighter Conor McGregor ahead of his return to the Octagon.
