Gambling Commission Mandates Swift Removal of Non-Compliant Gaming Machines from July 2026
From 29 July 2026, UK non‑remote gambling operators must immediately remove any gaming machine the Gambling Commission identifies as non‑compliant in a written notice, under new Licence Condition 18.1.1. The rule is the first measure enacted from the regulator’s wider consultation on modernising gaming machine technical standards, a commitment under the 2023 Gambling Act Review White Paper.
