Patricia Lalanda Ordóñez is a Partner at LOYRA Abogados, an international law firm specialised in the gambling industry and part of the ETL Group. She leads the firm’s intellectual property, new technologies and data protection department, advising a wide range of land-based and online gaming stakeholders including governments, casinos, operators, affiliates, payment providers and other service providers. Her practice covers licensing, regulatory and compliance, M&A, consumer, advertising and privacy law issues in Spain and cross-border.
A recognised lecturer on gaming regulation, blockchain, cryptocurrencies and esports, she has taught at universities such as the Autonomous University of Madrid, Universidad Complutense de Madrid Law School, LaLiga Business School, IE Business School and FIDE. She is a regular speaker at international conferences including ICE, SBC, European Gaming Congress and IMGL, and has published in leading industry journals. She co-authored the book “The Future is now: present and future of online gambling” in 2021.
In 2015 she was awarded the title of “40under40 Emerging Leader” by the American Gaming Association. She holds a law degree from Carlos III University of Madrid and an LL.M. in IP, IT and NNTT from the Autonomous University of Madrid, and speaks Spanish, English and French.
