Dr. Joel M. Shulman is the Founder, CEO, and CIO of ERShares, a global asset management firm that applies venture-style research to publicly traded companies. He created the Entrepreneur Factor® and the VC Lens methodology, built on more than 30 years of academic research at Babson College and Harvard University.
Dr. Shulman is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds a PhD from Michigan State University, an MBA from Michigan State University, and an MPA from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. Before founding ERShares, he ran the Shulman CFA Review Program, training over 12,000 investment professionals worldwide, and consulted for the World Bank on capital-market development in Central Asia and the former Soviet Union.
He is also a contributor to Forbes and has authored numerous academic articles and books on entrepreneurship and investing. Dr. Shulman continues to hold an adjunct professorship at Babson College, teaching courses such as “Great EPS Wealth: Creation, Preservation, Destruction.”
