Brian Rockey

Brian Rockey serves as the Director of Lottery and Charitable Gaming for the Nebraska Department of Revenue, a position he has held since July 1, 2016. In this role, he oversees the state's lottery operations and charitable gaming programs. Rockey also serves as President of the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL), reflecting his leadership in the industry.

Rockey's career with the Nebraska Lottery began at its inception in 1993. He spent nearly two decades with the division, ultimately serving as Marketing Manager until 2011. During this period, he contributed to the lottery's growth and operational development. Following his initial tenure, Rockey worked for International Game Technology (IGT, formerly GTECH), the primary contractor for the Nebraska Lottery, before returning to lead the division as its Director.

Academically, Rockey holds a Bachelor of Arts from Creighton University, a Master of Arts from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. His educational background, combined with extensive hands-on experience in lottery management, positions him as a key figure in the state's gaming oversight. He has also been a keynote speaker at industry events.
