Wazdan expands Mighty Crown series with Empire of Gold slot

2026-08-07

Wazdan has launched Mighty Crown: Empire of Gold, a 3×3 five-payline slot with a respin-based Bonus Game and its Chance Level bet-multiplier mechanic. The third entry in the Mighty Crown sub-series includes adjustable volatility and follows recent Wazdan distribution expansions in Brazil and Pennsylvania.

Wazdan has launched Mighty Crown: Empire of Gold, the third instalment in its Mighty Crown sub-series, on 6 August 2026. The Malta-based content provider describes the title as a blend of traditional slot gameplay and modern mechanics, built on a compact 3×3 reel layout with five fixed paylines.

Game mechanics

The slot contains seven standard symbols plus one special icon. Three matching special icons trigger the Bonus Game and select one of the regular symbols as the target. Players are awarded three respins, and the counter resets to three each time another target symbol lands and locks into position. Trigger symbols turn into Wilds during the feature; once all reel positions are filled, those Wilds become multipliers of between 1x and 5x that boost the final award.

Wazdan's signature Chance Level mechanic is also included. Players can multiply their bet by 2x, 5x or 10x, raising the probability of triggering the Bonus Game by up to 13x while leaving symbol values unchanged. The studio points to the game's adjustable volatility as a feature designed for regulated markets.

Radka Bacheva, Head of Sales and Business Development at Wazdan, said classic slots continue to hold a special place for many players and that it was important to offer "something fresh for today's audiences." Wazdan says the combination of the bonus feature, lock-in mechanics and volatility controls delivers "an entertaining experience that is built to drive long-term player engagement."

Market context

Mighty Crown: Empire of Gold follows a series of 2026 Wazdan releases using the Chance Level mechanic, including 16 Coins Betsson, which launched on 16 July 2026. The company has also been expanding distribution this year: its portfolio went live with Betnacional in Brazil via Relax Gaming in July, and titles began appearing on FanDuel Casino in Pennsylvania in June through an aggregation arrangement with Light & Wonder.

Wazdan is a Malta-based studio founded in 2010 and licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission. It reports operations across more than 40 regulated markets, releases more than 40 games annually, and holds a catalogue of over 250 certified titles distributed through multiple aggregation platforms and direct operator integrations.

In an accompanying market analysis, SCCG Management said the release shows providers refining classic formats with tunable mechanics that support regulatory compliance and long-term engagement, recommending operators test the title's retention profile against their current library performance. The firm characterised the approach as a practical bridge between classic player preferences and the flexibility operators need under tightening regulatory expectations.
