Greentube enters Alberta as Canadian province opens regulated iGaming market

2026-07-20

Greentube has launched its game portfolio in Alberta on the day the province opened its regulated iGaming market, expanding its North American presence after securing registration with the AGLC commission.

Greentube, the digital gaming division of NOVOMATIC, has launched its content in Alberta on the first day the province opened its doors to regulated iGaming. The move marks a significant milestone for the supplier in North America, as Alberta becomes only the second Canadian province – after Ontario – to establish a competitive licensing framework, replacing the long-standing monopoly held by Play Alberta.

To operate in the new market, Greentube completed a thorough regulatory and technical approval process, securing registration with the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) commission. This launch extends the company's existing Canadian footprint, which began with its Ontario debut in 2022, and represents a deliberate step in its broader North American expansion strategy.

Players in Alberta now have access to a tailored selection of Greentube's portfolio. The initial lineup includes Piggy Prizes: Wand of Riches 2, Rumble Riches Haulin' Gold and Firecracker Frenzy Money Toad, alongside proven favourites such as Silver Lux Big Win Spinner, Starlight Jackpots Captain's Catch and Charming Lady's Boom. The mix was chosen to balance recent releases with top-performing titles, aiming to appeal to Alberta audiences from the outset.

David Bolas, Commercial Director at Greentube, commented: "Going live in Alberta on the day the market opens is an important step for Greentube." He added that the company welcomes the opportunity in a new jurisdiction and looks forward to introducing its offering to players in the province, supported by a lineup of new releases and established performers to drive long-term ambitions in the region.
