Greentube Enters Alberta as Canadian Commercial Market Opens

Greentube has obtained an AGLC licence to supply online casino games in Alberta, marking its second Canadian province after Ontario and entering the market on its first day of commercial operations.
Greentube, the digital gaming arm of NOVOMATIC, has secured a licence from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC) to supply its online casino content to operators in the province. The move marks the company's entry into Alberta's newly commercialised iGaming sector, which went live just last week, ending the long-standing monopoly held by Play Alberta.
This expansion represents Greentube's second foothold in Canada, following its launch in Ontario back in 2022. The division sees Alberta as a strategic piece of its broader North American growth plans, bringing a mix of fresh releases and proven slot titles to local players.
David Bolas, Commercial Director at Greentube, said: “Going live in Alberta on the day the market opens is an important step for Greentube and reflects the strong momentum we are seeing in Canada.” He added that the company is keen to work with locally licensed operators and is “well placed to offer a compelling experience in the province.”
Titles now available to Alberta players include Piggy Prizes Wand of Riches 2, Rumble Riches Haulin’ Gold, Firecracker Frenzy Money Toad, Silver Lux Big Win Spinner, Starlight Jackpots Captain’s Catch and Charming Lady’s Boom.
