Fairplay has named National Hunt trainer Warren Greatrex as a brand ambassador for the 2026/27 jumps season, with content from his Lambourn yard planned. The operator also aims to expand its on-course presence with pitches at Cheltenham and Newbury.
Fairplay has brought National Hunt trainer Warren Greatrex on board as a brand ambassador for the 2026/27 jumps season. Under the arrangement, Greatrex will offer regular insights from his Lambourn stable through blogs and video content covering the campaign.
Greatrex has enjoyed a career featuring multiple Grade 1 successes, headlined by horses such as Cole Harden and La Bague Au Roi. He said the Fairplay concept immediately appealed to him and that he is keen to show fans how the yard operates, from morning rides to swimming and treadmill work.
Expanding racing footprint
Fairplay originally launched as a peer-to-peer betting platform in 2023 before moving into sportsbook betting after securing a sportsbook licence. The operator has also deepened its presence at racecourses, opening its first on-course pitch at Glorious Goodwood this year.
Looking ahead, the company intends to secure on-course pitches at Cheltenham and Newbury for the 2026/27 National Hunt season as part of its wider push into British horse racing.
Confidence in the sport
Fairplay founder and managing director Bill Gowing acknowledged that British racing is under pressure from rising costs, regulation and shifting market conditions, but said that is exactly why the company chose to invest. He described the link-up with Greatrex as a natural fit, citing shared values of hard work, integrity and long-term ambition.
Gowing added that while other businesses are stepping back, Fairplay sees the current moment as the right time to move forward and support a sport it believes remains a great British institution. The partnership is intended to give customers a closer connection to the stable and bring the stories of National Hunt racing to a wider audience.
