Background & History

OG was officially launched on February 3, 2026, as a standalone brand under Crypto.com. The platform builds on the regulatory foundation of CDNA, which Crypto.com acquired in 2022 as part of its U.S. derivatives expansion. In December 2024, CDNA became the first CFTC-regulated exchange to offer sports event contracts in the United States. The rapid growth of Crypto.com’s prediction market business – reported as 40x week-over-week – justified creating a dedicated product with its own brand, app, and leadership team.

Products & Features

OG offers a broad range of event contracts covering sports (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, soccer, golf, tennis, motorsports, sailing), politics (election outcomes, policy decisions), economics (interest rates, employment data), entertainment (award shows, reality TV), culture, and crypto (price movements, network events). The platform is accessible via mobile apps for iOS and Android and a web interface at og.com. Key capabilities include real-time probability forecasts, early exit (selling positions before settlement), position limits, and tax reporting. A notable planned feature is margin trading on prediction contracts, made possible through Crypto.com’s federally licensed futures commission merchant – a first in the U.S. prediction market space. OG does not rely on blockchain settlement; all contracts are cleared through CDNA’s regulated infrastructure.

Regulatory & Compliance

OG operates under the CFTC-regulated framework of CDNA, which is a designated contract market (DCM) and derivatives clearing organization (DCO). Users must complete full KYC verification and be at least 18 years old. The platform enforces location-based access controls and is available only in the United States (excluding New York).

Market Position

OG competes with other U.S. regulated prediction exchanges such as Kalshi and Polymarket’s CFTC-compliant arm. It differentiates through its integration with Crypto.com’s brand, its social engagement layer, and the planned introduction of margin trading. Parent company Crypto.com provides significant brand recognition, a large existing user base, and deep liquidity.

Leadership

OG is led by CEO Nick Lundgren, who also serves as Chief Legal Officer of Crypto.com and previously led the acquisition of CDNA in 2022. Other C-level roles (CFO, CTO, COO, CCO) for OG as a standalone entity have not been publicly confirmed; the platform is supported by Crypto.com’s broader corporate functions.

Partnerships

In May 2026, OG and Crypto.com announced a multi-year global partnership with the United States SailGP Team, designating them as the Official Crypto Exchange and Official Prediction Market Partner of the team. The partnership includes branding on the team’s F50 catamaran, race kit, and digital content campaigns, as well as integrations within OG’s prediction markets for live race events.
