Torben Gregers Friis currently serves as the Global Head of Distribution at Match Liquidity DMCC, where he manages international partnerships within the iGaming and fintech industries. He joined the Dubai-based liquidity provider in August 2022 following a significant tenure at GCEX and continues to oversee the strategic growth of the company's global network. His operational focus integrates cryptocurrency capabilities with traditional brokerage standards to enhance security and liquidity solutions.
Prior to his appointment at Match Liquidity, Friis spent over two years guiding GCEX as its Managing Director EMEA, where he directed institutional digital assets and FX brokerage operations. He brought extensive experience from previous senior positions with well-known financial entities such as Saxo, IG, and ActivTrades, establishing a strong track record in managing complex financial infrastructure.
His entrepreneurial roots began in 2010 when he founded and led Wilde & Sinclair as Managing Director, showcasing a history of building business operations from the ground up. Beyond executive management, he remains active in the community as a regular participant at major industry summits, contributing expertise on AML compliance and fraud prevention during appearances at events like SiGMA World.
