Þórhildur Edda Gunnarsdóttir

Þórhildur Edda Gunnarsdóttir is the CEO of Sweeply, a smart housekeeping and task management platform for hotels and hospitality businesses. She leads the company’s product development and strategy, drawing on her background in production engineering and digital innovation to streamline hotel operations worldwide.

Before joining Sweeply, Þórhildur co-founded the digital agency Júní in 2021 and served as a senior consultant and partner at Parallel Ráðgjöf from 2018 to 2021. She also spent nearly six years at Arion Bank, where she held roles including IT Portfolio Manager, Team Lead, and Project Manager for Rapit Digitalization. Her earlier career includes engineering positions at Mannvit and a master’s thesis at Technische Universität Berlin.

Þórhildur holds an M.Sc. in Global Production Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin and a B.Sc. in Engineering Management from Reykjavik University. She also teaches at Harbour.Space University, sharing her expertise in digital transformation and entrepreneurship with the next generation of innovators.
