Steve Sutherland

Steve Sutherland is the Chief Executive Officer of Konami Gaming, Inc., the Las Vegas‑based slot machine and casino management system subsidiary of KONAMI GROUP CORPORATION. He has led the company for more than seven years and has been with Konami for over 24 years. He oversees all facets of the company and its divisions, establishing long‑term strategic goals and policies to drive organizational results. He works closely with the executive leadership team at the parent company and serves on the Konami Gaming, Inc. Board of Directors. Under his direction, the company has achieved strong sales growth, sustained profitability, and a clear strategic product direction. Sutherland is also a Corporate Officer for KONAMI GROUP CORPORATION.

He joined Konami in July 2000 as Senior Vice President, Sales, and was instrumental in building out the company’s management team and securing licensing in major jurisdictions worldwide. He has led one of the longest‑tenured executive teams in the slot supply sector, keeping Konami consistently among the top five slot manufacturers. Sutherland holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, and began his career in the technology industry before moving into gaming.

In October 2024, Sutherland received the AGEM Jens Halle Memorial Award for Excellence in Commercial Gaming Professionalism, recognizing his career achievements and contributions to the industry.
