Stéphane Pallez

Stéphane Pallez has served as Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer of FDJ (La Française des Jeux) since November 2014, leading the company through its privatisation via an initial public offering in 2019 and its rebranding as FDJ UNITED in 2025 following the acquisition of Kindred Group. Under her leadership, the state-owned lottery operator has transformed into a diversified international gaming group, combining France’s national lottery with Kindred’s online betting brands.

Before joining FDJ, Pallez was Chairwoman and CEO of the CCR reinsurance group from 2011 to 2014. From 2004 to 2011, she served as Deputy Chief Financial Officer at France Télécom‑Orange, gaining extensive experience in corporate finance and restructuring. Earlier, she spent two decades at the French Treasury within the Ministry of Economy and Finance (1984–2004), holding senior positions including head of the Insurance subdirectorate, deputy in charge of State holdings, and head of the European and International Affairs Department.

Pallez began her career in public service, serving as Alternate Executive Director for the World Bank in Washington D.C. from 1988 to 1990 and as a technical advisor on industrial matters to the Minister of Economy and Finance from 1991 to 1993. She is a graduate of the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris (1980) and the École Nationale d’Administration (ENA, 1984). Pallez also serves on the boards of CNP Assurances and Eurazeo and is a Knight of the Ordre National du Mérite.

Her current focus is on steering FDJ UNITED’s sustainable growth strategy in the global iGaming market, emphasising safer gambling initiatives and responsible expansion. She has been a prominent voice at industry conferences, including VivaTech and the Paris Finance Forum, and was inducted into the Lottery Industry Hall of Fame.
