Stefan Nelson

Stefan Nelson is a senior finance executive with a background in corporate finance and investment banking. Before joining LeoVegas, he served as Director of Corporate Finance at SEB (Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken), one of Sweden’s leading financial groups. In August 2022, Nelson was appointed Group CFO of LeoVegas, succeeding Viktor Fritzén.

Following MGM Resorts International’s acquisition of LeoVegas in 2022, Nelson also took on the role of Managing Director for LeoVegas Malta, the group’s operational hub. He is a frequent speaker at iGaming industry events such as iGaming Next and is an advocate for the Maltese gaming ecosystem, often highlighting Malta’s central role in the company’s operations.

Nelson holds a degree from Stockholms universitet and is based in Sliema, Malta. His leadership spans financial strategy, regulatory compliance, and operational management for one of Europe’s leading online casino and sports betting brands.
