Shawn-Marc Melo

Shawn-Marc Melo is a two-time tech entrepreneur and former financial compliance auditor. He founded deepidv to combat deepfakes, synthetic identity fraud, and document manipulation through an AI-native verification and compliance platform. The company raised a $1M seed round in March 2026 and expanded to San Francisco while maintaining its Toronto engineering headquarters.

Earlier, Melo founded Lendwire, Canada’s online mortgage marketplace, and was recognized as Fintech Start-Up Founder of the Year 2024. He speaks at industry events such as Inman Connect New York about identity verification and fraud prevention. His platforms target financial services, proptech, hospitality, and iGaming.
