Shaun Deeb began playing poker at age 16, hosting low-stakes tournaments for friends. Born March 1, 1986 in Troy, New York, he attended Bentley University but dropped out after one year to pursue poker full‑time. Under the online screen names `tedsfishfry` and `shaundeeb`, he became one of the most successful online tournament grinders, winning the PokerStars Tournament Leaderboard in back‑to‑back years (2007, 2008).
