Scott Olive

Scott Olive is an industry-leading slot game designer and the founder of HRG Studios, the studio behind some of the most successful slot franchises in history, including Lightning Link, Dragon Link, and Buffalo Link. He is widely recognized for pioneering low-denomination, high-volatility reel games and the Hyperlink progressive jackpot system.

Olive began his career at Aristocrat Leisure in the late 1990s, where he played a key role in the company's expansion into the US market. During his tenure, he created the Hyperlink progressive system and developed hit titles such as Cash Express, Penny Train, Fa Fa Fa, and King of the Nile. After leaving Aristocrat in 2007, he co-founded True Blue Gaming, an independent development studio that was acquired by Aruze Gaming in 2009.

Following the sale, Olive founded HRG Studios and entered an exclusive development agreement with Aristocrat in 2012. Under his leadership, HRG Studios delivered Lightning Link in 2014, which became one of the top-grossing slot games of all time. Subsequent releases include Dragon Link (2017), Dollar Storm (2019), and Buffalo Link (2021), which have collectively doubled Aristocrat's market share in North America.

Olive's contributions to the gaming industry have been recognized with induction into the EKG Slot Awards Hall of Fame.
