Sajith Caldera is the Founder & CEO of Bitnomi, South Asia's first compliant self-custodial Bitcoin and stablecoin gateway. He began his career as a software engineer before moving into the broader cryptocurrency industry.
After becoming a father, he shifted his focus toward Bitcoin education and self-custody, co-founding Bitcoin Sri Lanka to teach ordinary people about sound money. Bitnomi was created as a practical tool for buying, holding, and using Bitcoin with self-custody.
He has spoken at industry events including SiGMA AIBC South Asia and the Coin Bureau Cryptocurrency Conference 2022. He also served as CEO of Sonic Labs, a blockchain consultancy and solutions firm, as indicated by event appearances in late 2024. Bitnomi remains his primary focus, and he continues to be an active community organizer for Bitcoin Sri Lanka.
