Peter Briffett is a serial entrepreneur and co-founder and CEO of Stream (formerly Wagestream), a workplace financial wellness platform that provides employees access to earned wages, savings, budgeting tools, and other financial services through their employer. Founded in 2018, the company rebranded from Wagestream to Stream in 2025 and now serves over 3 million workers across thousands of brands including Bupa, Burger King, and over half of NHS Trusts.
Prior to Stream, Briffett sold a previous business to Microsoft in 2006, which became the most successful post-acquisition product in Microsoft history, earning him a personal congratulatory email from Bill Gates. He also served as Head of LivingSocial in the UK during its rapid growth period. Other past roles include Executive Director at Threads Styling Ltd. and positions at Anatwine and YPlan.
