Oliver Zeidler

Oliver Zeidler (born 24 July 1996 in Dachau, Germany) is a German rower and former competitive swimmer. He is the reigning Olympic champion in the men's single sculls, having won gold at Paris 2024, and is a three‑time world champion (2019, 2022, 2023). Before rowing, he swam competitively from age seven until early 2017.

Zeidler first tried rowing in September 2016 and less than a year later won the indoor rowing 2000 m class at the 2017 World Games. He began an apprenticeship as a tax clerk at Deloitte in Munich in 2015 and later pursued a bachelor's degree while training. As of 2025, he is completing an MBA at IMD business school in Lausanne, Switzerland, balancing elite sport with business studies.

Beyond athletics, Zeidler works as a keynote speaker on performance, mindset, and resilience. He is a sponsored athlete of both Deloitte’s “Team Deloitte” and the Tipico Champion Fonds, a sports‑sponsorship fund operated by the sports‑betting company Tipico. No iGaming or gambling‑industry role or employer has been confirmed for him.
