Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine

Matvii Viktorovych Bidnyi (born 28 November 1979) is a Ukrainian politician, sports administrator, and former professional bodybuilder. He holds four higher education degrees: Coach-Teacher in Physical Education and Sport (National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine, 2001), Finance (Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, 2004), Commercial and Labour Law (Interregional Academy of Personnel Management, 2008), and Public Management and Administration (National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, 2020). He was a three-time Ukrainian bodybuilding champion (2000, 2001, 2002) and silver medalist at the World Junior Bodybuilding Championships (2000).

Bidnyi began his public service career at the Ministry of Youth and Sports in 2016, rising through roles from Chief Specialist to Director of the Department of Physical Culture and Non-Olympic Sports. He served as Deputy Minister from July 2020 to November 2023, then as Acting Minister until September 2024, when he was confirmed as Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine. He also serves as the European representative on the WADA Executive Board for the 2025–2027 term.
