Mary Cheeks is President and General Manager of Jamul Casino Resort, an industry veteran with 30 years of experience in casino management and finance. She joined the team in May 2018, leading the casino through an ownership transition and rebranding, recruiting a world-class management team and optimizing existing talent. Her leadership focuses on delivering the best guest experience and fostering strong community ties.
Cheeks holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from The College of New Jersey in Trenton. Her earlier career included roles in the Albany, New York area, as well as at SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia and Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh. In 2021, she received the San Diego Business Journal’s "Business Women of the Year" award in the Large Company category.
As President and GM, she works closely with the Jamul community to ensure the casino is a welcome corporate citizen. She continues to drive operational excellence and strategic growth for the resort.
