Martin Lycka

Martin Lycka serves as the Vice President of Institutional Affairs at Oddin.gg, a position he assumed in January 2026. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the B2B esports betting solutions provider's global government relations and regulatory affairs. He works closely with regulators, policymakers, industry, and integrity bodies to guide the company's international expansion and engagement, ensuring its solutions meet evolving compliance standards across various regulated jurisdictions globally.

Prior to joining Oddin.gg, Lycka had a significant tenure at Entain (formerly GVC Holdings), where he served as Senior Vice President for American Regulatory Affairs and Responsible Gambling from November 2020. During his time at Entain, which he joined in April 2018 as Director of Regulatory Affairs, he led the company's regulatory strategy and responsible gambling initiatives across the U.S., Canada, Latin America, and global esports, aiding in compliant market entry and supporting brands like BetMGM. He also played a key role in negotiating responsible gambling and sustainability partnerships for U.S. colleges, MLB, and several players' associations, including the NFLPA.

Lycka's extensive career in the iGaming and gambling industry spans over 16 years, with previous senior regulatory roles at Paddy Power Betfair (September 2009 - January 2018) and GVC Holdings. He is a recognized expert in gambling law, competition, property, and European Union law. He is also a regular conference speaker and has co-authored over 80 academic articles and three books on gambling law.

Beyond his corporate roles, Martin Lycka is actively involved in the industry's broader development. He serves on the boards of the Entain Foundation, the Entain Foundation US, and the American Gaming Association, as well as on the Advisory Boards to the National Council on Problem Gambling, Seton Hall Law School Gambling Compliance program, My Wager Score, and Kindbridge. He is also the host of The Safe Bet Show podcast. His contributions have been recognized with several awards, including the 2019 Global Regulatory Awards Head of Regulatory Affairs of the Year, the 2022 & 2023 Outstanding Individual Contribution to Responsible Gambling Awards, the 2023 Don Feeney Responsible Gambling Excellence Award, and the 2023 iGaming Idol (Overall Outstanding Contribution to the Industry) Award winner.
