Mark Zuckerberg

Mark Zuckerberg (born May 14, 1984, White Plains, New York) is an American computer programmer and internet entrepreneur. He co-founded the social networking site Facebook in 2004 from his Harvard University dormitory room and has served as its chairman and CEO ever since. In 2021, the parent company was renamed Meta Platforms, where he continues as founder, chairman, and CEO. Under his leadership, Meta has expanded into virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and most recently, a betting platform modeled after Polymarket.

Zuckerberg is also the co-founder and co-CEO of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, a philanthropic organization focused on advancing human potential and promoting equity.
