Mahesha Amarasuriya
Country Manager and Director, Mastercard Sri Lanka
Mahesha Amarasuriya is a seasoned finance and payments executive who currently serves as Country Manager and Director at Mastercard Sri Lanka. In this role, she leads innovation in digital payments and drives meaningful impact in the country’s financial sector.
She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA) and holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation. Amarasuriya is a Past Chairperson of the CIMA Sri Lanka Country Network Panel and a Member of the Global Membership Committee of CIMA. She was also appointed to The Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA) MESANA region.
In 2005, she was recognized as a Young CIMA Star through the Pinnacle Award, an early-career accolade she credits with shaping her professional journey. She is a frequent speaker at industry events, including the inaugural SiGMA South Asia 2025 conference in Colombo, where she spoke on a panel about payments orchestration and the future of digital transactions.
