
Luc Jobin

Luc Jobin is a Canadian corporate director and former business executive. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of British American Tobacco p.l.c. (BAT), a global tobacco and nicotine company. He was appointed as a Non-Executive Director to the BAT board on July 25, 2017, and became Chairman following the company’s 2021 Annual General Meeting.
Jobin brings significant experience from the rail and consumer goods sectors. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Canadian National Railway Company (CN) from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at CN since 2009. Before his tenure at CN, he served as Executive Vice President of Power Corporation of Canada from 2005 to 2009.
Jobin spent the majority of his early career at Imperial Tobacco Canada, where he served as Chief Executive Officer (2003-2005) and Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (1998-2003). He also served as a Director of Reynolds American Inc. from 2008 until its acquisition by BAT’s Group in 2017.
