Kyle Kirkland

Kyle Kirkland is a prominent figure in the California gaming industry, currently serving as the President of the California Gaming Association (CGA) and the owner and CEO of Club One Casino in Fresno, California. He has held the presidency of the CGA for over 12 years, advocating for the statewide cardroom industry, which contributes significantly to California's economy with a reported $5.6 billion in economic impact, over 20,000 jobs, and $500 million in tax revenue annually.

Under Kirkland's leadership, the CGA has been actively involved in legal battles to protect California's licensed cardrooms. Most recently, he applauded a San Francisco Superior Court ruling that invalidated state gambling regulations proposed by the California Attorney General's Bureau of Gambling Control, which would have restricted popular table games like blackjack and baccarat. Kirkland asserted that major changes to California gaming policy must come through the Legislature, not administrative action, and that these regulations were designed to benefit tribal casinos at the expense of local communities and cardroom businesses.

Before his involvement in the gaming industry, Kirkland founded an investment banking firm and served as the chairman of Steinway Musical Instruments for 18 years. He purchased Club One Casino in 2008 and relocated it to Granite Park in September 2021, where it employs 250 people and generates approximately $1 million in annual tax revenues for Fresno. Beyond his business ventures, Kirkland is also recognized for his philanthropic efforts, having founded the Kirkland Foundation, an animal welfare non-profit, and serving as board chair of the Fresno Chaffee Zoo. He is a vocal advocate for solving community problems, including feline overpopulation.
