International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA)Khalid Ali is the CEO of the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA). Since taking the helm in 2008, he has transformed IBIA from a small group of European operators into the global voice for integrity in regulated sports betting, representing over 90 operators and 200 brands with a combined annual turnover exceeding $300 billion. Under his leadership, IBIA has forged partnerships with major sports bodies, regulators, law enforcement agencies, and institutions worldwide, driving initiatives that protect sport, consumers, and the regulated betting industry from corruption.
Khalid has been instrumental in advancing integrity policies, pioneering education programmes, and positioning IBIA as a trusted partner across the global sports betting ecosystem. He has represented the regulated betting industry in high-level policy forums, including the Council of Europe’s Convention on Match-Fixing, the European Commission’s Expert Group on Good Governance, and the independent review of integrity in tennis.
Before joining IBIA, Khalid worked in EU public affairs and corporate communications, advising international organisations on policy and strategy. He holds a Master’s degree in European Law from the University of Aberdeen.
