Jürgen Stühmeyer

Jürgen Stühmeyer hails from Minden, Germany, and spent his entire professional career at the Gauselmann Group, now the Merkur Group. He joined the company as a trainee and, over more than 37 years, rose through the ranks to become a senior executive. His long tenure and deep understanding of the business made him a key figure in the group's growth.

Stühmeyer served as a Member of the Management Board for Sales (often referred to as MERKUR Sales and subsequently MERKUR Sales and Technology) and later as Vice‑Chair of the Management Board. He is credited with significant contributions to the development of the group, particularly the success of the adp Gauselmann subsidiary, where he played a central role in building its market position.

In September 2024, as part of a generational leadership transition, Stühmeyer moved from his executive roles to become a Member of the Supervisory Board of Merkur.com AG and a Member of the Foundation Board of the Gauselmann Family Foundation. In these oversight capacities, he continues to advise the company and ensure strategic continuity.
