Julia Peeva-Sertov was born in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1982. She studied Information and Communication at La Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris before entering the iGaming industry in 2006 as a Customer Support agent at PartyGaming, where she quickly became a VIP Account Manager. After a stint in Gibraltar, she returned to Paris to complete a Master's degree.
Later, she worked as a Project Manager at a Bulgarian gambling equipment manufacturer and moved into compliance and licensing. In 2018, she moved to Malta to join Amusnet Gaming as CEO, building the office and team from scratch. Under her leadership, Amusnet obtained a license in Ontario, Canada, and expanded into Nordic markets.
In 2021, she won the "Best Woman Leader of the Year" award at the Malta Women in Gaming Awards while also becoming a mother.
