Ivonne Montealegre

Ivonne Montealegre is a Costa‑Rican‑born poker and iGaming professional based in Malta. She began her career in the late 1990s when Costa Rica was the iGaming hub of the Americas, moving from Sportsbook.com to Paradise Poker, where she became Events Director.

In 2018 she founded the Malta Poker Festival, an event that quickly became a landmark in European poker, drawing international players and media attention.

Since 2024/2025 she has also acted as Operations Manager for the SiGMA Poker Tour, overseeing the tour’s expansion into new markets and championing diversity in poker. She is a vocal advocate for women in gaming and frequently speaks at industry conferences.
