Hrvoje Ćosić was born in May 1977 in Zagreb, Croatia. He graduated from the Mathematics & Informatics Education Center in 1995, earned a degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the University of Zagreb in 2000, and later completed an MBA in finance.
He began his career at Hypo Alpe Adria Bank, managing treasury finance, risk and liquidity, money markets, and currency trading. Shortly afterward, he founded Fornax d.o.o., a computer programming company he ran for more than 15 years.
In 2015, Ćosić co-founded Aircash, Croatia's first fintech e‑wallet via a mobile app. Under his leadership as CEO, Aircash became an EU‑licensed electronic money institution, surpassed 1 million users and €1 billion in transaction volume, and earned repeated recognition on the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 list for Central Europe. The company is the only non‑bank in Croatia that can issue Mastercard cards.
