Hon. Inġ. Ryan Callus is a Maltese engineer and politician who made history in 2013 as the first engineer elected to the Parliament of Malta. A member of the Nationalist Party, he has served in several opposition portfolios.\n\nHe previously held the role of Opposition Spokesperson for Infrastructure and Public Works, where he focused on national infrastructure projects and public sector efficiency. As of 2027, he serves as Shadow Minister for Energy, Research & Innovation, overseeing policy development in these critical sectors.\n\nAn active speaker at international conferences, Callus regularly addresses iGaming events such as SiGMA Europe, discussing innovation, energy policy, and the intersection of technology and regulation. He is also a recognized member of the Chamber of Engineers, having been honored for his contributions to the engineering profession.
