H.E. Maria Camilleri Calleja

H.E. Maria Camilleri Calleja is a career diplomat who joined the Maltese public service early in her professional life. She currently serves as the Ambassador of the Republic of Malta to the United Arab Emirates and as the Permanent Representative of Malta to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). Her diplomatic tenure in the UAE began around 2019, and she has been a prominent figure in the business and investment landscape of Abu Dhabi, frequently hosting delegations and speaking at events focused on trade, clean energy, and the iGaming conference circuit.

Throughout her assignment, Ambassador Camilleri Calleja has actively promoted Malta’s interests in trade and investment, including the country’s regulated gambling sector. She has participated in iGaming-themed conferences such as the AIBC Eurasia summit organized by SiGMA Group, reflecting her role in supporting Malta’s international business outreach.
