Gonzaga Higuero

Gonzaga Higuero is the Chief Executive Officer of Grupo Codere, a multinational leader in the private gaming sector, appointed in July 2023. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Codere Online. His mandate includes consolidating the company’s presence in active markets and driving post-pandemic growth.

Higuero holds an MBA from IESE Business School, a law degree, and a diploma in business consulting from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE). Before joining Codere, he served at the Health Transportation Group (Ambuibérica‑Emeru), Spain’s leading health transport operator and Europe’s second largest. There he led the company’s refinancing and turnaround, including its acquisition by Real Assets Investment Management in 2021.

Earlier in his career, Higuero held various management positions at Spanish security company Prosegur, covering Europe, Latin America, and the EMEA & Pacific regions.
