
George Papanier
President of Bally's Corporation (Land-Based Casino Business)
George Papanier is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a B.A. in Business Administration and Accounting from Rowan University. He has built a career spanning executive financial and operational roles across major casino and hospitality organizations.
Early in his career, Papanier served as CFO at Sun International Hotels Limited and Mohegan Sun Casino concurrently from 1995 to 1997. He then became Chief Operating Officer of Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City (1997–2000) and later President & CEO of Peninsula Gaming (2000–2004).
Papanier joined Bally’s Corporation in 2004 as Chief Operating Officer, was promoted to President and CEO in 2011, and led the company through significant growth until October 2021. Since then, he has served as President of Bally’s land-based casino business, overseeing the company’s physical casino properties. He also sits on the board of Bally’s Corporation and is a co-founder of AXG Advisors, where he serves as Principal.
