Dr. Jason Ramos

Dr. Jason Ramos, M.S., D.C., serves as Chairperson of the Blue Lake Rancheria Tribal Business Council, the executive branch of the tribal government. He is also the tribe’s Economic Development Chair and has held leadership roles including Chairman of the BLR Gaming Commission, Tribal Administrator, and CEO of Blue Lake Casino. His educational background includes a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Kinesiology from Humboldt State University and a Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic West, where his research focused on bone density improvement through creatine supplements and exercise in elderly populations.

Dr. Ramos has been a driving force behind STEAM education initiatives, serving as former President of the Blue Lake Rancheria’s Tribal Education Agency Board of Education, where he established makerspace and workforce training programs. He has also served on numerous boards and committees including the U.S. Department of Energy Indian Country Energy and Infrastructure Working Group and the National Indian Gaming Commission Technical Advisory Committee.

His awards include the Arcata Chamber of Commerce Business Leader of the Year (2024) and recognition for the tribe’s renewable energy and preparedness projects, including the DistribuTECH/PowerGrid International "Renewable Energy Project of the Year" in 2018 and the FEMA "John D. Solomon Whole Community Preparedness Award" in 2017.
