Dimitris Thanasopoulos

Dimitris Thanasopoulos is a seasoned technology leader currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Kaizen Gaming, a rapidly expanding GameTech company, since September 2019. In this pivotal role, he is responsible for defining the company's technology strategy and overseeing the development of its proprietary tech platforms, which are crucial for enhancing customer experiences across the globe. He leads a substantial division of over 500 engineers, organized into more than 60 agile teams across six tech hubs.

His extensive experience in software engineering and management spans over a decade, during which he has demonstrated a strong capability in managing technology teams. Before joining Kaizen Gaming, Thanasopoulos held the position of VP of Software Engineering at The Signal Group. Prior to that, he was a Software Engineering Manager at Rated People, where his responsibilities included system architecture, software design, and team management.

Earlier in his career, Thanasopoulos worked as a software architect at Research Now-E-Rewards, focusing on software system design. He began his professional journey as a telephone support executive at OTE. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Informatics from the Athens University of Economics and Business.

Thanasopoulos is also a prominent voice on the strategic integration of artificial intelligence in the business sector. He views AI as both an opportunity and a challenge for Greek businesses, with vast potential to transform organizations and industries. He emphasizes that AI should be offered as a product, not merely a technology, with the goal of adding value by improving services and products, and creating competitive advantages for the company.
