Daniele Correa Cardoso is a Brazilian lawyer graduated from the State University of Feira de Santana (UEFS/BA) with a specialization in State Law. She has extensive experience in public administration, particularly within the regulatory framework for gambling and betting in Brazil.

Before being appointed as the permanent head of the SPA in early 2026, she served as the Deputy Secretary of the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting, and prior to that as the General Coordinator of Responsible Gambling at the same regulator. Her career within the SPA reflects a steady climb through the organization’s regulatory ranks.

In her role as Secretary, she leads the body responsible for overseeing Brazil's regulated gambling market, focusing on consumer protection, combating the illegal market, regulatory refinement, integrity measures, and responsible play. She replaced the departing Régis Dudena, who became Secretary of Economic Reforms.

Cardoso has committed to continuing the established regulatory agenda for 2025-2027, including public consultations, ensuring continuity in Brazil’s gambling oversight and market development.
