Christina Smedley is a seasoned marketing and communications executive with over two decades of experience at major technology and financial services companies. She began her career at Edelman, where she held multiple leadership roles spanning consumer marketing, brand strategy, and global relationship management, eventually becoming EVP & Global Chair of Consumer Marketing.
She later served as Director of Worldwide Communications at Amazon, followed by senior communications positions at PayPal and Facebook. At Facebook, she led brand and marketing for Messenger and the Novi/Blockchain initiatives. In September 2020, she became Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at Robinhood, where she oversaw the company's first Super Bowl campaign and navigated high-profile events such as the GameStop trading surge.
After leaving Robinhood in 2021, she co-founded Lightspark, a company focused on expanding Bitcoin's capabilities through the Lightning Network, and serves as its Chief Marketing & Communications Officer. Smedley holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors from the University of Kent, Canterbury.
