Charles Giancarlo

Charles Giancarlo is Chairman and CEO of Everpure (formerly Pure Storage), a company that evolved from a storage hardware provider into a comprehensive enterprise data management platform. He has over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor, communications, and networking industries. Giancarlo joined Pure Storage as CEO in August 2017 and led its rebranding to Everpure in early 2026.

Prior to Everpure, he was a Senior Advisor and earlier a Managing Director and Head of Value Creation at Silver Lake Partners. He spent 14 years at Cisco Systems, ultimately serving as Vice President and Chief Development Officer, where he was responsible for products that generated 80% of Cisco’s revenue.

Giancarlo holds a BSEE from Brown University, an MSEE from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He also serves on the board of directors of Zscaler since 2016 and has previously served on the boards of Accenture, Blue Jeans Network, Imperva, ServiceNow, Skype, and Netflix.
