Prior to his current role, Dunshea served as Chief Regulatory Officer at the BHA, overseeing integrity and regulatory operations. He was appointed interim CEO in December 2024 and confirmed as permanent CEO in March 2025. Before moving to Britain, he was Chief Operating Officer at Harness Racing Victoria from 2010 to 2014, where he managed operational and regulatory functions.
Dunshea holds a Bachelor of Legal Studies from Victoria University and a Graduate Diploma in Sports Law from the University of Melbourne. His career has focused on strengthening racing integrity, developing regulatory frameworks, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the sport.
