Brant Arseneau

Group Chairman and Chief Information Officer at Mach33 Financial Group

J. Brant Arseneau is a Canadian entrepreneur and executive whose career spans financial technology, capital markets, and the NewSpace industry. After studying electrical engineering, he received a rejection from the Canadian Space Agency in the early 1990s and turned to finance, spending nearly 25 years in capital markets at J.P. Morgan in New York, where he specialized in electronic trading. He later served as Chief Information Officer at the Bank of Montreal, leading technology strategy for one of Canada's largest banks.

In 2017, Arseneau left finance to pursue his lifelong passion for space. He founded 9Point8 Capital, a space industry advisory firm, and co-founded Spaced Ventures, a public capital raising platform for space companies. He also serves as Group Chairman and CIO of Mach33 Financial Group, a boutique financial services firm dedicated to the space industry. In October 2021, the Canadian Space Agency named him a Space Ambassador, recognizing his contributions to advancing space entrepreneurship.

Arseneau’s work bridges fintech and space, helping space companies access capital markets and advising on financial infrastructure for the emerging space economy. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and a vocal advocate for commercial space development.
