
Bobby Bao is a prominent blockchain entrepreneur and venture capitalist, best known as a co-founder of Crypto.com and the Managing Director of its venture arm, Crypto.com Capital. He also serves as the Head of Corporate Development at Crypto.com, where he directs corporate strategy and oversees the company's efforts to drive the adoption of crypto-powered consumer financial products.
Bao played a pivotal role in the inception of Crypto.com, which was originally founded as Monaco in 2016. Under his leadership, Crypto.com has grown into a multi-billion dollar payment and cryptocurrency company, scaling to over eighty million active global users by 2023. He was recognized for his contributions in March 2018 when he was selected for Forbes Asia's 30 Under 30 list in the Finance and Venture Capital category.
In March 2021, Bao launched Crypto.com Capital, a venture fund dedicated to investing in early-stage Web3 and blockchain startups. The fund initially raised $200 million and expanded to $500 million by January 2022.
