Behshad Behzadi

Behshad Behzadi is a distinguished computer scientist and global technology leader serving as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at Sportradar Group AG, a role he assumed in May 2024. He holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from École Polytechnique in Paris and completed post-doctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin, grounding his career in advanced algorithms and machine learning.

Behzadi spent nearly two decades at Google Zurich, joining in 2006 and rising to Vice President of Engineering. He co-founded transformative products including Google Assistant, Google Lens, Google Smart Display, and the Next Gen Assistant. Most recently, he led Google Cloud's Conversational AI and applied Generative AI initiative, reimagining customer service for large enterprises.

At Sportradar, Behzadi is responsible for steering the company's technology roadmap, accelerating AI adoption across its portfolio, and delivering hyper-personalized experiences for sports fans. His broad product leadership is reflected in his additional designation as Chief Product, Technology and AI Officer.
