Baiju Bhatt

Baiju Prafulkumar Bhatt is an Indian-American entrepreneur and billionaire best known as the co-founder of Robinhood, the commission-free stock trading app that democratized retail investing. He co-founded Robinhood in 2013 with Stanford classmate Vlad Tenev and served as co-CEO until late 2020, then as Chief Creative Officer until March 2024. He remains on Robinhood's board of directors.

After leaving day-to-day operations at Robinhood, Bhatt launched Aetherflux (later renamed Cowboy Space Corporation) in 2024. The deep-tech startup aims to provide orbital data centers and transmit solar power from space using laser technology. The company raised a $50 million Series A in 2025 and a $275 million Series B led by Index Ventures later that same year, bringing total funding to $365 million.

Bhatt holds a bachelor's degree in physics and a master's degree in mathematics from Stanford University. His net worth was estimated at $6.9 billion as of 2025, primarily from his 6% stake in Robinhood, making him one of the youngest billionaires in the U.S. and the only Indian-origin entrepreneur on the 2025 Forbes 400 list.
