Andrew Bosworth ("Boz")

Andrew Bosworth ("Boz") is an American technology executive who serves as Chief Technology Officer of Meta Platforms, a role he assumed in 2022. He also heads Reality Labs, Meta's division dedicated to augmented reality, virtual reality, and metaverse hardware and software.

Bosworth earned an A.B. in Computer Science from Harvard University in 2004. Two years later he joined Facebook as one of its first ten engineers. He built foundational products including the original News Feed algorithm, Messenger, Groups, and early anti-abuse and advertising infrastructure.

He later led the Ads and Business Platform product group, scaling Facebook's advertising revenue from $4 billion to over $40 billion annually. In 2017 he founded Reality Labs and became its head, overseeing development of Quest VR headsets, Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, and augmented reality technologies.

In addition to his corporate role, Bosworth serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, advising on defense innovation. His career entirely spans social media, AR/VR, and general technology, with no connection to the iGaming or gambling industry.
