André Fufuca

André Fufuca is a Brazilian medical doctor and politician who has served as the Minister of Sports of Brazil since September 2023. In this capacity he has been a central figure in the regulation of sports betting and iGaming in the country, including the establishment of a dedicated Sports Betting Secretariat and cooperation agreements with gambling enforcement bodies.

Before becoming minister, he was a federal deputy (PP‑MA) elected to multiple terms. His involvement in the iGaming sector stems from his ministerial role in shaping Brazil’s betting regulatory framework.
