Andre Duka

Dr. Andre Duka is a mathematician and the founder of Dukascopy Bank SA, a Swiss financial institution that has evolved from a trading technology provider into a fully-licensed neo-bank offering forex/CFD trading, multi-currency accounts, and cryptocurrency services. He began his career in the late 1990s by founding Dukascopy Trading Technologies Corp. in 1998, which developed proprietary trading platforms including the JForex platform. In 2004 he established Dukascopy Bank SA, where he has served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer ever since.

Under his leadership, Dukascopy became the first licensed bank in the world to issue its own cryptocurrency, Dukascoin, and has grown to serve over 400,000 clients. Duka is known for his forward-looking views on digital banking, AI-powered chatbots, and the integration of crypto technology into traditional finance. He holds a Ph.D. in a scientific discipline, often cited as physics or mathematics, and frequently speaks at fintech and iGaming industry events such as the SBC Summit.

Duka's current focus remains on expanding Dukascopy's digital banking offerings and further integrating blockchain-based solutions into the bank's infrastructure. His dual role as CEO and CTO reflects his hands-on approach to both business strategy and technological innovation, ensuring the bank remains at the forefront of the fintech sector.
